Pokemon Unite is an action-packed MOBA game offered by The Pokemon Company. It has more than ten million downloads on the Play Store. Choose your Pokemon, his move set, equip items & dive into the arena with your friends to fight against another team, score goals, earn points and win the match.
Gameplay
It’s a MOBA game. When you start the match, you will be teamed up with 4 players. Your team will fight against another team of 5 players. All players will pick their Pokemon on the Pokemon selection screen. Then they will be spawned into the arena. The match will last for 10 minutes. The team with more scores when time runs out will be the winner.
The arena is split into two parts and paths. The left part of the arena is yours and the right part is of opponents. Two paths are on the top and bottom parts of the arena. Each part has 3 goal zones, one at the center, one at the bottom & one at the top. You will find wild Pokemons in the arena. You will get Aeos Energy on defeating wild Pokemons & opponents’ Pokemons.
The Aeos Energy stores into Unite Balls. When you go into the goal zone of opponents, you will see a button to score a goal. It will take time to score depending on the number of balls you hold. On scoring the goal, your team will get points. You can hold a maximum of 40,50 & 60 balls at levels 5, 7 & 9 respectively.
The Top & bottom goal zones have a limit of 100 points. When you score 100 goals on a zone, it will destroy and you have to goal in the next zone. The central goal zone has no limit. When the last 2 minutes are left of the match, you will get double points for each ball score. When the time runs out, the team with more scores will win the match.
On winning the match, you will get Aeos Gold and player EXP. If you are playing a ranked match, then you will also get a trophy. Your level will increase on earning enough EXP. On reaching a new level, you will get rewards like gold, a Pokemon license, an item, etc. Aeos Gold is used to buy a Pokemon license. Trophies are required for reaching higher leagues. When a league ends, you get amazing rewards.
Pokemons with Unique Abilities & Skills
It’s a new game so there are currently 25 Pokemons in this game and there will be more in the new updates. You will find Pikachu, Alolan Ninetales, Slowbro, Talonflame, Machamp, Cinderace, and many more Pokemons. Each Pokemon has a unique passive skill, 2 active skills, and a Unite move (Ultimate Skill). Their basic attacks are also a set of three types of attacks and are different for each Pokemon.
On defeating the wild Pokemons and opponents’ Pokemons, you get EXP points. EXP points are required for your Pokemon to level up. In the starting, your Pokemon will be of level 1. You can open only skill 1 or skill 2. On reaching level 3, you can open a second skill. Your Pokemon will evolve on reaching levels 5, 7, and 9. On evolving, you can also enhance your active skills.
