Overview of Fing – Network Tools

Fing is an android application that provides all the tools, features & functionalities to users to identify all connected devices to your network, show their details such as IP address, MAC address, device name, model, and all other information. It also allows them to test the internet speed along with download speed & upload speed analysis & latency. These days, when almost every house has a wifi-connection, Fing is a must-have application as the number of hackers, intruders & free users are also increasing. We can’t even trust our own internet service providers. Fing automatically checks your network and informs you about the untrusted connections, incorrect set-ups, and internet outages.
User-Friendly Interface

It has an attractive, easy-to-use interface with a light-weighted design and no complex navigation. It includes two themes – light & dark. There are three tabs – Home, Community & Account. On the home screen or home tab, it shows its various features in subsections starting with current wi-fi networks followed by the internet speed test, security features, wi-fi scanner, ping & traceroute checker subsections. In the community tab, it shows the discussions of Fing users. You can also ask any question here if you face any issues.
Wifi Scanner

It comes with a wi-fi scanner tool. It searches for all nearby wi-fi networks and shows you a list with all their details. It shows the following info of the wi-fi network: SSID, BSSID, Brand, Band, Singal, Channel, Channel Amplitude, Distance, Security, IP Address, and Link Speed. It also shows various channels running on a specific band & frequencies and which wi-fi access points are running on these channels.
Internet Speed Tests & Statistics

With the internet speed test tool, you can check various ISPs and decide the best one to use. You can also check the speed of your cellular connection. The test will show you the download speed, upload speed, and latency of the network. Sometimes, you pay for a high-speed connection to your ISP but they give you less speed. So, it’s very useful to check the speed and see if you are getting that speed or not. It also shows a scoreboard of ISPs nearby you.
