Gameplay

It’s a 2D hill-climbing game, full of challenges and fun. In this game, you will play Newton Bill who is going on an adventurous journey of climbing hills. You will start in a small, red-colored car in the countryside. Your goal will be to cover as much distance as you can without breaking Bill’s neck. The path will be bumpy and you will have to keep the car’s balance in check otherwise the car will spin. And if you land in a bad position and Bill’s head hits the ground, he’s head. So, take care of that.

On the way, there will be diamonds, coins, and fuel tanks. Over time, the car’s fuel will drop down. So, pick the fuel tank to refill the car’s fuel. If you run out of fuel, the game will be over. You can collect the coins & diamonds that are used to buy vehicles, crates & levels. Additionally, you can perform a backflip, frontflip, or fly in the sky to get a coin bonus. The longer you stay in the air, the bigger the bonus you will get. 

Controls

The controls are not hard to get. They are really easy. There will be gas and brake pedals on the right and left sides of the screen respectively. Just tap the gas pedal to accelerate the vehicle and the brake pedal to stop & reverse the vehicle. See? Easy, right? The real challenge you will face in the game is to master the controls so that you don’t end up on your head on the ground and break your neck. 

All vehicles have sensitive handling and are easy to spin. Keep accelerating and it will lift the vehicle from the front, making it easy to spin. So, you will have to apply brakes, and adjust the position & alignment to land perfectly on the ground to save Bill from any accident. 

Complete Daily Challenges & Missions

To give you challenges apart from the in-stage checkpoints, Hill Climb Racing starts a unique challenge and three missions every day. You can complete them to earn prizes such as diamonds, coins, paint, boosters, etc. In the daily challenge, you will have to cover the given distance at the given level. You can use any vehicle in it. However, in the daily missions, you will have to use the required vehicle and complete the task. For instance, cover 10K distance using a Bike, collect 10K coins in one run, etc. You can use any vehicle or level until specified to complete the missions. 

Multiple Types of Boosters

It includes 5 types of boosters – Nitro, Double Jump, Mega Tires, Grip, and Glider Booster. You can only take one type of booster at the level. Nitro booster boosts your vehicle for a short duration to drive extra meters even if you have no fuel. Using the double jump booster will make your vehicle jump a short distance ahead in a diagonal.

To give the vehicle more traction and grip on the ground, you can use the grip booster. If you want to increase the car’s tire size, then the mega tire booster is for you. And lastly, the glider booster. It helps your vehicle to land on the ground smoothly with the help of the parachute. Additionally, it allows the vehicle to cover more distance. So, don’t forget to use these boosters to improve your score.

Coins are the primary in-game currency that is used to buy & upgrade vehicles and unlock the levels. But the cost of everything keeps on increasing with each level.
