ARK: Survival Evolved is an adventure survival game offered by Studio Wildcard. It has more than ten million downloads on the Play Store. Start your journey from the beginning in a world full of dinosaurs and do everything to survive.
Gameplay
In this game, you will spawn on an island. You can choose the spawn point. You will have nothing in the beginning. You have to collect resources such as wood, stone, fruits etc. There are many things to craft that will come in handy in this survival adventure. Stone pick, campfire, torch, spear, waterskin, sparkpowder, bow etc. To craft an item, you must have its engram and the required resources. When you collect, craft or hunt, you get XP to level up. At each level, you will get a point to increase one of your attributes. There will be dinosaurs everywhere on the island. So always be careful. At high level, you can also tame a dinosaur, ride it and give instructions to follow you, attack others, defend & use special skills.
Single Player Mode
SIngle player mode comes with three survial modes: Casual, Survivor & Hardcore and four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard & Brutal. You can choose any difficulty level in these survival modes. Survival modes decide what will happen when you die or demolish anything. It doesn’t affect your XP gain & enemies stats. Difficulty levels decide your XP gain and enemies stats. Read the following points for more details:
Survival Mode Rules
Casual – When you die in this mode, you will not lose any blueprints, tools, foods, weapons and armor. You will also get all resources when you demolish any structure.
Survivor – When you die in this mode, you will lose everything except engrams. Also you will get only half resources upon demolishing structures. But there is a way to get all the lost resources when you die. Go back to the location where you die. You can see the green light on the map for that location. You will find your previous body there. Tap & hold on the right side of the screen to search the body. You will find all your resources.
Hardcore – In hardcore mode, when you die, you will lose everything including engrams and XP. You will start your journey from the beginning. And on demolishing structures, you will get nothing.
Difficulty Level Rules
Easy – You will get default XP. There will be less than level 30 creatures. There is so much less chance of encountering level 30+ creatures.
Medium – You will only get 80% XP in this difficulty. And you can encounter upto level 150 creatures.
Hard – In hard difficulty level, XP gain is reduced to 50% and there will be upto level 300 creatures.
Brutal – It is the hardest difficulty in the game. XP gain is drastically reduced. You will encounter creatures upto level 450 everywhere.
Multiplayer Mode
You can also play with or against the other players in the multiplayer mode. You can join a tribe to play with your friends, help each other, share resources and take down bigger targets.
