Darkrise is an action-packed role-playing game offered by Roika. It has more than a million downloads on the Play Store. Choose your hero, kill varieties of enemies like skeletons, mages, archers, warriors, bats, wolves, etc., upgrade your equipment & skills, complete quests for amazing rewards and go through an epic journey.
Gameplay
It’s a 2D, pixel-style action RPG game. In it, you will choose one of the heroes from warrior, mage & archer and start your journey. You will face many enemies on the way like skeletons, bats, wolves, corrupted warriors, etc. You have to kill them using your skills and clear the stage. You will get EXP on killing the enemies.
They will also drop gold, gems & other items such as gemstones, consumables, gears, etc. EXP is required to increase your hero’s level that will grant you attribute points to increase various stats. Upgrade your equipment, enchant them and fuse gemstones in them to increase their attributes such as damage, defense, magic shield, critical damage, etc. You can accept quests of NPCs to earn special rewards.
Controls
The controls are very simple in this game. It comes with two control schemes: arrows & Joystick. In the arrows scheme, there will be left & right arrow buttons on the bottom left corner of the screen to move your character. And a jump button on the bottom right corner with 5 skills buttons around it. In the joystick scheme, a virtual joystick is given at the bottom left corner. Drag it left & right to move your character in the corresponding direction. Drag the joystick upwards to jump. Skills buttons are the same as the arrows scheme. You can also rearrange the buttons as you see fit.
Choose Your Hero
There are three heroes: Mage, Warrior, and Archer. Mage deals damage with her AOE skills and have more control effects. Warrior also deals AEO damage but in close range. He has high HP and control immunity that makes him very powerful at close-range combats. Archer deals damage to a single enemy at a time but her damage & attack speed is so high. All these heroes have 8 unique active skills and 24 passive skills.
When your hero levels up, you get attribute points. You can use these points to increase your strength, dexterity, stamina, and intelligence. Increasing strength increases damage & armor penetration. Stamina increases health and defense. Dexterity increases the critical rate and block rate. And intelligence increases magic shield and mana. Upgrading these stats to 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 & 60 levels unlock new passive skills.
