Evan’s Remains is a puzzle game offered by Whitethorn Games. It has millions of downloads on the play store. Go on a journey full of puzzles to find a mysterious boy Evan and solve the secret behind him, the monoliths and the artifact of immortality.
Story
It’s the story about a missing boy Evan and Dysis. One day Evan sent a letter to the Up-bring, an organization very advanced in technology. He wrote about his location in the letter and told them to send a girl named Dysis. Up-bring gave this task to Nikola & Dysis and sent Dysis to that location which is an island in the Pecific. But Dysis didn’t find Evan on the island. Now you have to help her find out about the island and Evan.
Gameplay
In this game, you will come across many monoliths, each containing a platform puzzle. You will start with solving some simple puzzles to pass the monolith. But with each monolith puzzle, more complex puzzles will come. After passing some monoliths, you will meet a boy writing something in a notebook. You will know more about the island, monoliths and its secret: the artifact of immortality from that boy. After this day, when you will wake up, your transmitter will be gone and only Evan can do that. After this point, you and that notebook guy will work together. Solve the puzzles to uncover the monolith’s secret and find Evan and the motives of the Up-bring.
Controls
Controls are very simple of this game. It shows up, down, left, right buttons of the bottom left corner and one button on the bottom right corner in the menu. Use the up & down buttons to choose any option and tap the button on the bottom right corner to enter or toggle that option. And to control the girl, tap on the right and left side of the screen to run in the right and left direction respectively. Tap on the bottom center of the screen to jump. You can tap in the middle of the screen and then drag up and down to look upside and downside.
Puzzles
This game is full of platform puzzles. To cross the monolith, you have to jump over it by solving its puzzle. The platforms on which you stand will disappear if you jump from it. There are some special platforms with markings on it that have effects on the other platforms. Jumping on the platform with infinity mark will make all the visible platforms disappear and the invisible platforms appear. Platform with green dotted marks teleports you to the other matching platform.
If any platform has an infinity mark and also a mark or rectangle, then it will toggle all the normal platforms and change the position of the teleport platform along with the same dotted line. As you go more deeper in the game, the more marked platforms and complex yet interesting puzzles you will face.
