Sonic Dash is an arcade, endless running game offered by SEGA. It has more than hundred millions of downloads on the play store. Run, jump, dash and roll with Sonic the Hedgehog in this endless running game. Rescue animal friends and complete special events to unlock characters and score as high as you can. Perform stunts after jumping from the spring to get extra score bonus. Defeat the epic bosses with your super homing attacks.
Gameplay
In Sonic Dash, you play as Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic runs automatically. You have to swipe to avoid the obstacles like barriers, spikes, hazards etc. It’s controls are very simple. Swipe left and right to change the lane, swipe up to jump, swipe down or simple tap to roll. You can attack your enemies by rolling. In air or ground, tap the screen to attack your enemies. Attacking the enemies free the animals. Collect rings on the way that fills the dash bar. Dash is Sonic’s special move. When the dash bar fills completely, use it. Sonic will run at supersonic speed and destroy everything in his way.
Power-ups
Use the power-ups to run further and increase your score. There are many power-ups like head-start, magnet, shield etc. Head-start are of two types too. Normal head-start and Super head-start. It lets you travel long distances in an instant. Pick up the magnets that collect the rings from all lanes. Shield protects you from the obstacles. You can survive the collisions with shields.
Score Boosters
To increase your score, you can use score boosters. 5 types of boosters are available. You can select any booster before running. On jumping from the springs, you will get an extra bonus that will increase with each spring when using Spring Bonus booster. With an enemy combo booster, you will get extra bonus for hitting multiple enemies. Use Golden Badnik that gives you a 6x score bonus. Final score bonus booster gives you a bonus at the end of the run. And the last booster is a ring streak. Collecting multiple rings gives you a bonus too.
Character
Run as Sonic or his friends. There are a total of 17 characters. Knuckles, Amy, Charmy, Jet, Classic Sonic, Rouge and many more characters are available for you to play. You can unlock many characters by completely building the home for rescued animals. Some characters are in red star rings and others can be bought with money. Each character has a special skill that lets them collect the 2x of specified animals. Some characters also have this skill for more than one type of animal.
Resources
Rings, Red star rings and diamonds are the main resources in Sonic Dash. Rings are used to upgrade your characters. Upgrading the character increases the power-ups time. You can use the red star rings to unlock characters. Red star rings can also be used to continue running after game over. Building home for the rescued animals unlocks new characters. To build a home, you need diamonds.
