Battle of Polytopia is a strategy game offered by Midjiwan AB. It has more than five million downloads on the Play Store. Choose your tribe, compete against the other tribes, capture their lands, expand your tribe and become the ruler of all other tribes.
Gameplay
It’s a turn-based strategy game. In this game, you will play as a ruler of a tribe. You can choose any tribe at the start of the game. Each tribe starts with a different tech, so choose carefully. You will have your tribe located on a block of an island. Tap on the tribe to train different types of units. The units are used to explore the island. But in a turn, you can only train one unit and move the units one time only. You can collect resources from mining, hunting, fishing and other activities to upgrade the tribe. Upgrading the tribe also increases the maximum of units you can train. When you have no moves left, end your turn. You will get stars at the end of each turn. With the stars, you can unlock new techs, hunt animals, collect resources etc. After your turn, your enemies will use their moves. Explore more lands, attack other tribes and capture their land to expand your tribe.
Game Modes
This game can be played offline against AI opponents and online against the real players. There are mainly three game modes that set the game rules.
Perfection
In the perfection mode, the number of turns are limited. You get only 30 turns. When the turns run out, the winner will be decided based on the players’ score. Get more score than your opponents by taking more land under your controls and exploring more areas of the map.
Demolition
In the demolition mode, there are no turn limits. You can use as many turns as you want. The game will continue until only one tribe is left on the map. Take all other tribes under your control to win the game in this mode.
Creative
In the creative mode, you can select everything as you like. Select the number of opponents, difficulty, map type and map size. You can also choose from the perfection, demolition or infinite mode.
Multiplayer Glory & Might
In the multiplayer mode, you can play against real players from all around the world or with your friend on the same device. It has two modes: Glory & Might. In the glory mode, the winner will be divided by the score. And in the night mode, capture all other tribes to win the match.
