Fishdom is a puzzle game offered by Playrix. It has more than hundred millions of downloads on the play store. Complete levels, earn coins, buy new fishes, decorate your aquarium and play new events for more rewards.
Gameplay
It’s a match-3 game. In it, you need to decorate your aquariums with fishes, decorations, artifacts etc. To earn coins, you have to complete match-3 levels. Whenever you add new fish, decoration or artifact in the aquarium, you get beauty points. Earn beauty points to get 3 stars for each aquarium. New aquarium also unlocks with the certain number of stars you have. In the levels, you need to match 3 or more same pieces to destroy them and complete the given task like clear all golden pieces, collect gold etc. As you proceed to higher levels, more new and difficult tasks you have to complete. You use power-ups & boosters.
Power-ups
As it’s a match pieces game, there are 5 power-ups you can create by matching a certain number of pieces: Firecracker, Bomb, Dynamite, Warhead and Lightning.
Firecracker – Match 4 same pieces to create a firecracker. Swap it with an adjacent piece or double tap it to activate it. It will blast in the radius of 1 piece destroying 4 pieces.
Bomb – Match 5 same pieces to create a bomb that will explode & destroy all pieces in 2-pieces radius when swiped or double-tapped.
Dynamite – Match 6 same pieces to create a dynamite that will explode & destroy all pieces in 3-pieces radius.
Warhead – Warhead destroys all the pieces on the board and requires 7 pieces to be created. Lightning – Whenever you use power-ups, it fills the lightning meter on the bottom left corner. When it fills completely, a lightning power-up will randomly spawn on the board. Swap it with an adjacent piece and it will destroy all the pieces of that color. When you swap 2 lightning power-ups with each other, it will destroy all the pieces. Combining other power-ups together or using near each other will give you a combo that fills the meter faster.
Boosters
There are 6 boosters you can use in the levels. Three boosters can only be selected before the levels – Two bombs, lightning and lightning+dynamite. As the name suggests, it will start the level with the power-ups of selected boosters. Other three boosters are hammer, torpedo and glove. With the hammer, you can destroy any piece. Torpedo destroys the pieces in the radius of 2 pieces with an explosion. Using the glove, you can swap any two adjacent pieces even if they don’t make any combination of 3 matching pieces. Using these three boosters doesn’t count in the moves.
Aquarium & Decorations
There are 48 aquariums you can decorate with beautiful fishes and amazing decorations, each with unique themes like tropica, greece, beach, primeval times, wonderland etc. For each aquarium, there are specific artifacts to decorate it. You can unlock fishes & decorations by completing levels. Use special fishes that give you a large amount of beauty points. To buy special fishes, you need vouchers and you can collect them by completing the levels in the first try.
